Free Computer Consultant's Tip-Of-The-Week e-Zine for October 5, 2007
---------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm going to try to hit a couple of quick topics this week.

First, I'm pleased to say that I finally have my email etiquette eBook
for sale on my website. It's titled "How To Improve Your Email Image",
subtitled "Look Sharp, Not Shabby".

The eBook was offered to a limited group over the summer and was well
received. I tuned it just a bit, enough to call it Rev 1.2 and put a
page up about it. You can view it here:

The eBook is normally $14.95, but for a while I'm offering it at $9.95.
If for any reason you don't feel you received $9.95 in value, email
me and I'll refund your money. But since that's only the cost of about
2 Starbucks I hope you'll think it's a fair value.

I have no fancy checkout system yet, just a simple PayPal button.

Second, one of my most frequently asked questions is "Can I make money
with a blog?". The answer is Yes, but you will likely need help. One
of the most popular eBooks out there right now is Rob Benwell's
"Blogging To The Bank 2.0". I haven't had time to read it yet, but you
can check it out here:

Last, a friend emailed me asking about yet another online backup
service offered by a company he has a relationship with, asking my
opinion.

My opinion hasn't changed. Maybe it's for you, and I reserve the right
to change my opinion when the facts change. But until then, it will be
a cold day in a hot place before I trust my data with someone else.

Just this week a fancy autoplex that I drive by every day was closed
down. The bank seized 66 cars as collateral for what was owed them.

What if the server your data is on is seized by a bank?

Will the data be there when you need it? Who else, besides the FBI and
IRS, will be looking at your data then? Is that Ok with you?

You decide. It's your data, take control!
