Today I want to highlight a new blog post and video that
might help
you combat a slow PC or a piece of software that doesn't want
to
act right or appears to lock up or hang for a long time.
Most people don't give much thought to Windows Temporary
files, and
indeed Microsoft doesn't imply you need to know anything about
them.
I agree, you shouldn't.
The truth is, though, that many software vendors -
including
Microsoft - do a poor job of having software clean up after
itself.
In fact, Windows is notorious for NOT cleaning up after
updates and
other system functions. Microsoft Word is legendary in the
temp
files it leaves scattered about after years of operation.
I often speak of Microsoft Windows being self-corrupting and
the
accumulation of temporary files is just one aspect of it.
Fortunately, it's an aspect that is easily correctable.
Getting rid of excess accumulation of Windows temporary
files
can even speed up the operation of your computer.
