Need a Free FTP Software to download so you can "upload" something or another? This request comes in every once in a while, many times because someone has run a trouble shooting program from tech support and needs to upload the result file.

While sometimes you can do this with a web browser, that never seems to work to well if a password is involved. There is protocol established to do that, but it seldom works right for me.

And if you are going to upload your website to your webserver, you certainly want a FTP client software for that.

I use SmartFTP. Works well, only briefly confusing. They have a free unlicensed version. After the 30 day tryout you will see a message inviting you to go and buy it. You can still use it for FREE, though, if you like.

Another Free Software to download is from the open source movement. It's called FileZilla. I have also used this program and it seems to get good reviews from others.

So go get your FREE FTP Client program and do some loading - upwards, downwards, sidewards and most any other ..wards you can think of!
